Peter Nassif works for the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). Previously, he lived in Lebanon where he had worked for the German Embassy and for the Arab-German Young Academy of Sciences and Humanities (AGYA) as the Regional Coordinator for the Levant.
He conducted research on the Humanitarian Response in Syria at a local NGO and worked as a researcher at the Office of the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN ESCWA) in Beirut.
Prior to that, he was an Assistant Researcher with the Middle East Project at the Center for Applied Policy Research (C.A.P.) in Munich.
He holds a Master's degree in Political Science from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, focusing on the MENA region.
Mr. Nassif's areas of expertise include Lebanon, Syria, the Arab Gulf Region as well as the ongoing Arab-Israeli conflict.
